RISK management

Led by the Pennsylvania MGMA in collaboration with the CT MGMA, de MGMA, NY MGMA, VA MGMA and WV MGMA.

Technology is revolutionizing the practice of medicine for physicians and patients. From wearable tech devices and smart pills to groundbreaking AI software that can read imaging with shocking precision, technology has flooded our industry, changing the way we communicate, diagnose, and treat.

With the introduction of each new innovation, practices become increasingly vulnerable to unfamiliar liabilities. Software malfunction, clever contracting from EHR vendors, and faulty diagnostics expose physicians and practices to a new world of risk. The best way to combat this vulnerability is through education and awareness.

This webinar will examine these new technologies, the resulting liabilities, and how practice leaders can best protect their organizations, staff, and patients. By joining this webinar, attendees will learn how to:

1)    Identify both common and uncommon technologies that are introducing new liabilities across our industry
2)    Understand the risks and implications associated with these technologies for practices
3)    Identify processes and strategies that practices can employ to protect their businesses from undue liability
